Our top addresses

We have now provided a fridge and combined oven-microwave so you can enjoy your gastronomic discoveries in complete freedom. Here are our favourite food and grocery stores.

Ready meals

About 10 km from A Quiet Place on the road to Arlon and without leaving the main road, you will come to Frank Burgers , the Rolls-Royce of burgers according to our guests! You can enjoy them on the premises or to take away. Please note, payment is in cash only!
In the same direction, leave the main road at St Marie. A few years to the left, you will see a tiny shop, Allume Le Four, where you will find meals made to be reheated in the oven and all with compostable packaging!
And in Etalle, at Traiteur Polo they make simple and delicious day's specials to take away.
Now let's take the road to Florenville. At the roundabout in Izel, take the 1st on the right and continue as far as the unobtrusive sign for Pamy Asian Food. Make your order between 9 am and 3 pm. Delivery available on orders of €24 and over. Payment in cash only.

Grocery stores, markets

And of course we can warmly recommend our local markets and grocery stores. L'Épicerie du Centre is nestled in the centre of Neufchâteau. Parking nearby! Here you can find natural, local and fair-trade products: fruits and vegetables, bread, gluten-free items, regular grocery articles, household cleaning products, cosmetics… Just opposite, the Table de l'Epicerie serves some great snacks. The Coeur de Village grocery store in Bellefontaine is a cooperative supermarket, combining unpackaged products, regular brands and local and organic produce. Open 7 days a week (closed on Monday morning and Sunday afternoon). Also close by is Le Marché de Julien in Marbehan with local produce only at great value for money. Open from Tuesday to Sunday morning. There are markets on Tuesday in Marbehan, on Wednesday in Habay and Florenville, the big Arlon market on Thursday (we recommend taking the train!), Friday in Virton and Sunday in Chassepierre. Monthly markets in Florenville and Avioth. Lastly, there is an indoor market every Friday evening in Han with meals served on the premises.

Orval Abbey

A must! Don't miss Orval cheese straight from the abbey for your breakfast or picnic. And if you feel like a beer, the very famous Orval beer is naturally perfect. Make sure you visit the ruins and take a short hike in the marshes.

Recommendations for self-service meals

Please bear in mind that other guests keep their food in the fridge and make sure your food is in its wrapping. After your meal, collect your dishes together and we will take care of cleaning them. At each meal you will find bins for sorting your rubbish (compost, used food packaging, cardboard and bottles).
